First Heritage TreeThe Town of Sewall’s Point, a “Designated Tree City” since 1990, is known for the beauty of its mature trees that are in many ways the “signature” of our Town. In order to recognize these unique trees the Town established a Heritage Tree Program. The Heritage Tree Program is dedicated to preserving the unique natural habitat of Sewall’s Point through education, conservation, and beautification.

Trees are recognized for their unique characteristics that are “special” because of their unusual size, age, historical or horticultural significance.

At the April 28, 2015, Town Commission meeting, the first Heritage Tree was recognized located on North Sewall’s Point Road.
